Automated nucleic acid extraction arrives at mim_c
October 3, 2025
The University of Washington Microbial Interactions & Microbiome Center (mim_c) is happy to announce a new addition to our growing offering of services for researchers: Automated nucleic acid extraction.
This new extraction service aims to address a key bottleneck common in genomics methods for studying microbial communities: isolation of nucleic acids from study specimens. By automating many of the pipetting and processing steps associated with nucleic acid extraction, throughput is increased while user bias and error are minimized.
Multiple service levels are available to cater to the needs of different personnel and research groups, including integration with a planned sequencing project. Please visit the Automated nucleic acid extraction page for additional information and to submit an inquiry for service.
