2026 mim_c Fall Research Symposium: Registration is open
Overview
Join us for the 2026 mim_c Fall Research Symposium on Thursday, November 19th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the UW South Campus Center overlooking Portage Bay.
This year's symposium brings our scientific community together for a full day dedicated to microbial communities and their roles in human health and the environment. The morning sessions will feature research talks and open discussion designed to spark cross-disciplinary exchange, and — new this year — we're extending the day with an interactive poster session and lunch from approximately 12:00 to 2:00 PM, giving trainees and scientists across our community a chance to share their work in a more hands-on, conversational setting.
Refreshments will be provided in the morning, with lunch served during the poster session. A full agenda will follow in the coming weeks.
Registration
We welcome attendees from all career stages and regional institutions, and ask that you register in advance so we can plan catering — including the new poster session lunch — accordingly. Register by completing the registration form linked here or via the button at the top of this webpage. Space is capped at room capacity, so we encourage registering early to guarantee your spot. Poster abstracts must be submitted by 11:59pm Monday, October 26th, for presentation consideration. General registration closes November 5th.
We can't wait to welcome you to a full day of science, posters, and connection at the 2026 mim_c Fall Research Symposium!
